Hi everyone! My name is Jayme McKellop and I am the Assistant Director of Admissions here at the Law School. I came to U of C in May after practicing employment and labor law for three years at a large law firm here in Chicago and I could not be more excited to be a part of the U of C community! Even though I have only been here a short time, I have already been able to get to know many of our current students and several members of our incoming 1L class – one of the benefits of a small law school is that you really get to know everyone else! I have to thank our current students for making my experience overwhelmingly positive so far – their friendliness and enthusiasm for U of C makes it really fun to be here! In addition, they are always happy to help us out in admissions by sharing their U of C experiences with prospective students. This year, I will be recruiting at undergraduate schools around the country, reading admissions files, helping to plan admitted student events, and working with our student admissions volunteers and numerous student organizations to recruit another outstanding class! I hope to see you on the road or we would love to have you come visit (fall in Chicago is beautiful and – depending on when you come – you may still be able to catch an event in Millennium Park, a neighborhood festival, or an art fair). I look forward to meeting you!
