Judge Posner (or at Least His Avatar) Talks to Second Life

Judge Posner is no stranger to new technology, both personally and professionally. He's taking it to new heights, however, in early December, when he will enter the world of Second Life and his avatar will be interviewed about his book Not a Suicide Pact. For more information and reservations, visit New World Notes.

If this post was complete gibberish to you, you may want to read up on avatars and Second Life.

Good for him! I am impressed that a chap of his age embraces weird new technology so easily. Even more so because eminent old-timers tend to shy away from new technologies, fearing that they'll be shown up as less-than-omniscient.

Gadzooks, does this mean we'll be seeing a Posner-designed videogame soon? Will legal good guys blast away at legal bad guys with Writ Guns, Petition Grenades, and Estoppel Lasers? Will the doughty player, after negotiating the many levels, finally reach the Boss Level where he must face {shudder} The SCOTUS Boss?

I would not put it beyond the ever-surprising and always impressive Mr. Posner.
