Well, Admitted Students Weekend was a great success! I really enjoyed meeting many of the members of our class of 2010, and I hope that the weekend was helpful for those of you who are still trying to make your decision. For those of you who didn't read my original introductory post, I'm a 2002 graduate of the Law School who's been working with Admissions, Career Services, and the Dean of Students for the past year and a half as the Law School's Student Services Fellow. With the conclusion of Admitted Students Weekend, my fellowship is completed, and I will be moving on to work exclusively in Career Services at Loyola University Chicago's School of Law. So I just wanted to put up one last post to say goodbye. I really enjoyed my time here at U of C when I was a law student, and being back as an administrator has just reminded me of all the reasons I think the Law School is such a special place. The student body is a tremendously interesting, impressive group of smart people who are also great to hang out with (and thanks to all of our student volunteers this weekend during ASW -- we couldn't have done it without you). The professors are not just on the top of their game as scholars and teachers, but they are also truly engaged with the students that they teach -- which I hope you were able to see first hand if you were here for ASW. And the team of administrators who takes care of you -- from the Admissions and Financial Aid folks who help get you in the door, to the Student Services folks who take care of you while you are here, to the Career Services team who will help you plan, and actualize, your career dreams -- are second to none. It really is a special place to attend law school, and to work. So for those of you planning to join us in the fall -- welcome to the class of 2010, and goodbye. I won't be here to work with you, but you will be in very good hands!
