In my last post, I talked a bit about how using the power of RSS feeds to subscribe to law blogs could be of use to law students and scholars. But how do you know where to find these blogs, and which ones are worth reading?
One way is to turn to the granddaddy of blog portals, Technorati. Technorati keeps track of how many other blogs link to a given blog, assigning "Authority" rankings to indicate which blogs are the most trusted (at least by others in the blogosphere). However, since Technorati looks at the blogosphere as a whole, you're much more likely to encounter Perez Hilton than Richard Posner. Justia.com, however, provides a similar service focusing specifically on law blogs (or "blawgs," as some folks like to call 'em) — definitely worth checking out.
Another option for finding blogs of interest to students and scholars of law? Why, your friendly neighborhood Law School Electronic Projects Blog, of course. The following list, prepared by student Nathan Richardson, should be plenty to keep you occupied (as far as I know, no one has yet coined the collective noun — "gaggle of geese," "pride of lions," etc. — for a group of law blogs, but whatever it is we've got one... too bad crows have already claimed "murder.")
Know of some we've forgotten? Feel free to leave them in the comments.
