Earlier this week, I attended the CASE V conference in Chicago, held annually by the Council on Advancement and Support of Education. On Monday, I presented with Renee Basick, Interim Director of the Chicago Media Initiatives Group, on "Embracing Web 2.0 and New Media Communications." While my section of the presentation focused primarily on a project I was involved with prior to joining the Law School, I did talk a bit about how the Law School is cuurently using these technologies, so readers of this blog might be interested in downloading the presentation. I also saw a couple of interesting presentations on related issues: Liz Allen of the Caltech Alumni Association presented on the use of social networking tools, while consultant Bob Johnson talked about best practices in writing for the web. Finally, Paul Baker of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (he also has an interesting blog) discussed methods for measuring the success of interactive media. Incidentally, Paul's presentation mentioned the Law School Faculty Blog as an example of excellence in interactive media.
