On The Volokh Conspiracy, Neubauer Family Assistant Professor of Law Will Baude discusses an earlier post by Ilya Somin on the compensation of people convicted of crimes they didn't commit. "Wrongful convictions and incarcerations are disturbing and wrong and the victims deserve compensation from the state," he writes, but he worries that "our current justice system doesn’t do a very good job of adjudicating the claims of those who are wrongfully convicted."
